Chocolate, Acai & Strawberry Frozen Yoghurt Bites

These Chocolate, Açaí & Strawberry Frozen Yogurt Bites are a refreshing, antioxidant-rich treat that combines creamy yogurt, fruity goodness, and a decadent chocolate coating—perfect for a guilt-free indulgence straight from the freezer.

Ingredients

  • 300g Greek Yogurt (full-fat for a creamy texture)
  • 3 tbsp Naturya Acai Powder
  • 250g Milk Chocolate or White Chocolate (whichever you prefer for a creamy, pastel finish)
  • 2 tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 100g Fresh Strawberries (about 6-8 medium strawberries), hulled and chopped into small pieces
  • Desiccated Coconut or Chopped Fresh Strawberries (optional, for topping)

Method

  1. Prepare the Yogurt Mixture:
    • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and 3 tbsp Naturya Acai Powder. Stir well until the acai powder is fully incorporated and the yogurt turns a beautiful purple colour.
    • If you prefer a sweeter bite, add 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup and mix until smooth.
  2. Prepare the Strawberries:
    • Hull and chop the fresh strawberries into small pieces—about 1 cm in size. This will help them fit nicely on top of the yogurt clusters.
  3. Assemble the Yogurt Clusters:
    • Line a baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
    • Using a spoon or small cookie scoop, place small dollops of the acai-infused yogurt onto the tray. Aim for clusters of about 1.5-2 inches in size (around 2 tablespoons of yogurt per cluster).
    • Top each yogurt dollop with a few pieces of chopped strawberries. Gently press the strawberry pieces into the yogurt to ensure they stay in place.
  4. Freeze the Yogurt Clusters:
    • Place the tray in the freezer and freeze the yogurt clusters for 2-3 hours or until the yogurt is firm and the clusters hold their shape.
  5. Melt the Chocolate:
    • While the yogurt clusters are freezing, melt the milk or white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water (double boiler method), or melt it in the microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring each time until fully melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.
  6. Coat in Chocolate:
    • Once the yogurt clusters are frozen, dip each cluster into the melted chocolate or drizzle the chocolate over them for a decorative effect. Use a spoon to help coat the clusters if needed.
    • Optionally, sprinkle with desiccated coconut or chopped strawberries for extra texture and flavour.
  7. Freeze Again:
    • Place the tray back in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set and harden.
  8. Serve:
    • Once the chocolate is set, remove the yogurt bites from the tray. Serve immediately, or store them in an airtight container in the freezer until ready to enjoy. These bites are best enjoyed directly from the freezer to keep their shape and texture.
