Spirulina Cacao Energy Balls

These Spirulina Cacao Energy Balls are the perfect snack when you’re on the go or need an energy boost either pre or post-workout. They’re packed with plant-based protein and loaded with vitamin B12.

How to make

Ingredients

3 tbsp Naturya Cacao Powder, plus additional for rolling if desired

200g medjool dates, pitted and chopped up

1/2 cup (75g) cashews

1/2 cup (75g) almonds

1/3 cup (50g) Naturya Goji Berries

25g Naturya Cocoa Nibs

1 tbsp Naturya Spirulina Powder

1 tbsp Naturya Chia Seeds

1 tbsp Naturya Maca Powder

2 tbsp agave syrup, plus additional if required

2 tbsp desiccated coconut, plus additional for rolling if desired

Method

  • Add all the ingredients to a food processor and process until a sticky mixture is formed
  • If the mixture is still too crumbly, add more agave syrup and process again
  • Spoon out 1 tbsp of the mixture and roll into a ball with your hands
  • Repeat this process until the mixture is used
  • Roll the balls into additional Cacao Powder and/or desiccated coconut if desired
  • Place the energy balls on a plate or baking tray and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving
  • Remove from the fridge and enjoy as a snack
