Vegan Hazelnutty Brownies

These scrumptious brownies might be the perfect sweet treat to have along with a cup of coffee or plant-based milk on a cold day. They are high in fibre, protein and packed full of nutrient-dense superfoods.

Add our Cacao Hazelnut spread into the batter to enrich your brownies with irresistible hints of chocolate and crunchiness !

    Ingredients

  • 460g canned organic black beans
  • ½ cup Cacao & Hazelnut Spread
  • 4 TBSP Cacao Powder
  • 2 TBSP Gluten-Free Plain Flour
  • 1/3 cup Agave Syrup
  • 1/3 cup Coconut Sugar
  • 4 TBSP plant-based milk
  • 1 TBSP melted coconut oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ chocolate chips or cacao nibs
  • Optional: goji berries or mulberries

    Method

  • Preheat Oven to 180 degrees C
  • Rinse the beans well and place into the blender
  • Add the rest of the ingredients except berries & cacao nibs into the blender
  • Blend until creamy and smooth
  • Once smooth stir in goji berries, mulberries and/or cacao nibs
  • Line a baking pan with parchment paper and pour the mixture into it
  • Bake for 20-30 minutes until the edges pull away from the pan
  • Let cool for 10-15 minutes, then enjoy!
