These homemade pastry twists are made in less than half an hour - quicker than a trip to the local bakery on a Saturday morning! The Naturya Cacao & Hazelnut crunchy spread is a revelation, giving these twists a new level of richness and a mouth-watering crunchy texture.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of ready roll pastry
- 85g Naturya Cacao & Hazelnut spread
- 2 tbsp plant-based milk
- 20g chopped hazelnuts
- 10g Naturya Cacao Nibs
- 20g Naturya Coconut Sugar
Method
Unroll the sheet of puff pastry, cut in half
Measure out the Naturya Cacao & Hazelnut spread in a small microwaveable bowl, and microwave for 10-20 seconds to warm slightly
Spread Naturya Cacao & Hazelnut spread over one half
Place the other half on top then slice into 2cm wide strips
Prepare a baking tray with greaseproof paper
Pinch each end of a strip, careful twist 2-3 times, then place onto the baking sheet
Repeat the process with each strip, keeping plenty of space in between each twist on the tray
Brush with non-dairy milk, sprinkle with coconut sugar, chopped hazelnuts and cacao nibs
Bake for 15 minutes
Allow to rest for 5 minutes before tucking in!
